The MSK Experience is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to empowering, motivating and educating middle and high school girls and young women in ways that encourage them to live their best lives regardless of their socio-economic status or background. Our goal is to dismantle the misguided notions created by a society that tears down, divides and discourages and challenges girls and young women to change the narrative by creating a community that is truly stronger together.
The unique idea behind The MSK Experience is that we are one female-focused organization dedicated to serving the needs of two distinct populations; middle and high school girls. We meet our objectives by providing intentional experiences specially curated for girls and young women. For our younger ladies, we have an amazing after school mentoring program with a facilitated trauma-informed curriculum and workshops designed just for girls. For our young women, we have monthly outings and events that meet the unique needs of young women that always promote sisterhood and togetherness.
One of the primary tenets of our organization is 'Lifting As We Climb'. This phrase proclaims the principle of collective effort and reinforces the concept that as we each reach higher plateaus in life, it is imperative that that pattern of success be shared with other young women in our lives; that we share our stories and our lessons with those who would be heirs of the same promise. In short … that we give as much as we get.

Welcome to The MSK Experience
Nikki Williams-Rucker is a native of Chicago Illinois. She is a wife and mother of two with 16 years of experience as an English Teacher. Throughout her career she has witnessed the struggles and trauma African American girls face and wanted to help them create a new narrative. In an effort to do so, My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) was born.
In her spare time, she loves to write. Nikki published a book of poetry, Spoken Word, in 2017. These writings are an expression of her experiences related to love, life, and faith. The betterment of communities and writing has always been her passion and sharing it with others her dream.

Our Executive Director
As a previous Board Member, Lakisha S. Benbow is excited to step into the role as the Executive Director for The My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) Experience. As the Executive Director, Lakisha works closely with the Founder, COO and the Board of Directors to oversee the administration, programs and strategic planning of the organization.
She graduated with honors from Hampton University with a B.A. in Psychology. Among some of her many accomplishments, Lakisha is proud of being the first to create and implement a Customer Service Department for a prestigious Rehab and Nursing Home facility in the Bronx, NY.
Lakisha was born and raised in Yonkers, NY but now calls Fayetteville, GA her home. One of her greatest joys and sources of happiness is her family. She has been married to her wonderful husband, Joseph T. Benbow for 9 years and they have four amazing children.
They have a family owned restaurant in Morrow, GA called “Fishers of Men”. With years of experience in health care and community service,
Lakisha is excited to bring all of her life and corporate experience to this position, to help MSK continue its mission in making a difference in our community.
